Biography
Natalia Harmon has achieved a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Central Florida and is currently an Art Educator at the Verdi Eco school in Eau Gallie. Observations from natural landscapes inspire pointillistic plein-air sketches, which are later used in imaginative interpretation done in acrylic.
Leaning on patterns and relationships found within her garden, Natalia highlights the power of color and seeks to animate flora and fauna with each brush stroke. As a storyteller fascinated by creation stories, myths and fairy tales she collages pieces of paper into whole illustrations playing with light, dark and perspective.
In gesture she seeks to celebrate the poetry of Mother Nature, and to capture moments of movement in between the cycles of life and death. Under the lens of magical realism, she invites you to dive into the canvas, or portal.
