Biography
In 1955 my family moved to Florida. Growing up on Lake Butler, I developed a passion for wildlife, hunting, and fishing. In later years I attended the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale where I studied commercial art and advertising. I moved to Cocoa Beach in 1980 to be closer to marine life, surfing, fishing and diving. I was employed by the Department of Defense at that time.
Robert Jahnke is the Owner & Operator of Island Graphics, established in 1989. Bob has worked in the sign & graphics industry for over 32 years and attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale; where he studied commercial art and advertising design. He has been featured for his art and signs in: Florida Today, SignCraft Magazine, and AutoArt Magazine.
I recently retired and have transitioned from commercial art to fine art.
