It’s all about the red, white and blue, when the Melbourne Community Orchestra presents a pair of patriotic concerts, Made in the USA on Tuesday & Wednesday, June 13 and 14. The 7:00 PM concerts will be held at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 Hibiscus Boulevard in Melbourne. The nonprofit orchestra’s annual salute to America will also celebrate retired and active service men and women with a host of stirring selections. The audience will hear Variations on America, American Patrol, Summer Dances and Hoe Down, American Salute and music from John Williams’ The Empire Strikes Back. Tuba player, Eric Lee, will be featured during the concert, while Maestro Mark Nelson will surprise the crowd with a vocal number. No patriotic concert would be complete without the exciting Armed Forces Salute; audience members will be asked to stand when the theme for their service branch is played! A pre-show of onstage musical performers will entertain the gathering crowd, beginning at 6:15 PM. Admission to Made in the USA and all Melbourne Community Orchestra concerts is free. The 65-member group conducted by Mark Nelson is the Orchestra in Residence for the City of Melbourne. Call 321-285-6724 or visit for more information or to sign up for concert alerts.

Made in the USA is sure to delight with patriotic favorites –and an exciting encore!
