Growing up in Melbourne, Pat was introduced to photography by his father, a talented amateur who taught himself to use an SLR camera while in the Air Force. Inspired by his father’s beautiful images of exotic locations in the Philippines, Japan, and Greenland, Pat began his photographic journey in high school, culminating in being one of two photographers for his high school senior yearbook After college, Pat moved from action/sports photography to photography as art through landscapes, nature, and abstract subjects. As an avid amateur, Pat entered and placed well in a number of local photographic contests, selling many of his images, and taking some commissions for wedding and family portraits.
A late convert to digital photography and DSLR cameras, Pat has reignited his passion for photography as he immersed himself in the digital world. Living here in Brevard with the beauty of the Indian River Lagoon and other natural scenes, Pat has concentrated on bringing these images to life. Seeing an image, capturing it, and sharing the emotional and visual impact of that image fuels Pat’s photographic passions. Samples of his work can be viewed on 500px.com at the link below.
