Biography

Born: Brooklyn, New York Education: Undergraduate: Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Graduate: St. Mary’s University, Winona, Minnesota and Abbott-Northwestern Anesthesia Program, Minneapolis, Minnesota earning a Master of Science in Anesthesia. Recently retired as a Certified Nurse Anesthetist in 2011. Interest is focused on painting and understanding the techniques of the “Old Masters.”

Art Education: Enrolled in Brevard Community College and studied under the tutelage of Mrs. Nancy B.Dillen, Professor of Art. Curriculum included Drawing 1 and 2, Figure Drawing 1 and 2(including taped lectures from Robert Beverly Hale, New York League of Art), Painting 1 and 2, Advanced Oil Painting 3(including Old Master’s technique and Egg Tempura.) Studied with Frits van Eden, Joyce Schumacher, Albert Handel, Lois Griffel, Dr.Jean Pastula, Sandy Johnson and Charlotte Griffin. Currently, studying with the accomplished, modern 21st Century, Master Artist, David Leffel and attending his yearly workshops.
