Biography
I am a lifelong artist who was born to paint. I’m the only one in my family with the passion to stick with it. I don’t know why art became so important, but I found that I was given opportunities very early on to study with a professional illustrator. From there I found my way to art mentors and workshops. Then I managed to join art groups and international organizations. That’s the process. It works.
Yes, I did other things as most artist’s do. My choice was to become a nurse. I loved science and wanted to help others. I studied hard and learned a lot about people. My career saw me teaching at the college level and it was totally consuming. I still found time for art and workshops. Of interest is my side hustle which was sailing. My husband and I did some racing, some long yacht deliveries, and spent time as live aboards in the Bahamas.
