For more than 25 years BCA has served as a committed partner to local schools and community organizations, with the expertise to channel existing resources within the arts sector for the benefit of students, families and educators.

During the 2015-16 school year, BCA continued to expand its arts education programming. We explored and implemented new models and approaches to better respond to our partners’ priorities and to changes in educational trends.

The primary goal of BCA’s arts education programs is to promote arts and culture as an integral part of education and personal and community development.

BCA’s Education and Community Arts programming not only enhances participants’ artistic skills,  learning engagement, and academic achievement but also teaches transferable 21st century skills, focusing on capacities for creativity and innovation.

BCA’s level of engagement with Brevard Public Schools (BPS) and several community organizations has increased by developing strong partnerships and delivering four sustainable programs which respond directly to organizations’ needs:

· Next Generation & STEAM Artist Residencies
· 21st Century Community Learning Centers After-School Residencies
· Art for Youth At-Risk
· Art & Algorithms School Field Trips
