Description

The Seaside Piecemakers Quilt Guild (SSPM) is a vibrant organization of 300 quilt artists from throughout central Florida. The guild was established in 1981 with the purpose of educating, sharing, promoting, and keeping alive the craft and traditions of quilting. The guild’s mission includes serving the community with donations of quilts, funds, and goods to charities primarily supporting women and children in Brevard County.

At the guild’s monthly meeting, SSPM hosts guest speakers from around the country who bring unique and cutting-edge ideas and techniques to our membership. Many of these speakers conduct workshops to teach members their techniques. Non-members are invited to attend the guest lectures for a $10 fee and are welcome to register for classes when there are seats available for non-members.

Because membership in SSPM is limited to 300, many quilters have formed affiliated “Circles” that meet in various locations around the county. The Circles are small, informal groups that meet for instruction, charity, and fun. You do not need to be a member of Seaside Piecemakers to participate in the circles. Details on the Circles and other SSPM activities can be found on the website at seasidepiecemakers.com
