Description

Nikki Parenti modernizes fiber art by using natural fibers and driftwood collected from the Indian River Lagoon to create original designs, both decorative and functional. Inspired by the Space Coast’s beautiful environment and handmade in Indialantic, each piece is crafted with artistic intent to produce high quality, ethical, and unique pieces for you to enjoy.

Nikki works in traditional styles of macrame and weaving but also loves to experiment with new techniques, such as combining the two art forms. Much of her art is coastal-themed having movement to mimic ocean waves in her macra-weave wall hangings and sometimes in a more literal sense like with her hand-dyed macrame jellyfish. Some of the materials she uses are cotton, merino wool, jute, banana fiber, silk, hand-spun art yarn, color dye, and collected driftwood.

You can find Nikki’s work at art shows throughout Florida or contact her directly to get started with your next piece of art.
