Beauty brings me—like most of us I suppose—a sense of joy. In being joyful, I think we are better positioned to live out our highest and best lives. I sense we connect with our divinity through our joy.
That’s why I believe it’s important to curate a beautiful life, however we define beauty. And this holds true be it creating a beautiful desk, room, home, workspace—or interaction with ourself and others. Since I can remember, I’ve enjoyed drawing, painting, collage, working with fabric and creating beautiful spaces. It wasn't until recently, however, that I allowed myself to leave a public relations and advertising career and commit to making art full time.
Through a variety of paint, collage and mixed media, I love exploring how to translate my feelings of appreciation for, and wonder of, the beauty I see and feel around me. I’m particularly inspired by nature, science, spiritual mysteries and gothic architecture. While much of my work is abstract, I also paint abstracted realism in a modern color palette. It is my wish to create original paintings, prints and cards that inspire and help you to beautify your spaces and to connect with others more joyfully.
