Description
I find as an artist I am drawn to many different mediums and cultural subjects. I often find myself working on a mixed-media project although that was not my initial intention. Sometimes the texture or color seems to call for something else, an action, an object or substance, to bring about the feeling I am trying to convey. It is then, it becomes alive through its assemblage.
I believe my style of multi-layered expression is influenced by my former training as a graphic designer. Although my works are diverse in the media I use, the subject matter often reflects my life experiences with different cultures.
I believe my work, no matter its nature, is born of a life as one who has always enjoyed diversity and the emotional hold it causes within me. It is this emotion that cries out to be heard.
