The Fifth Avenue Art Gallery in Eau Gallie is now offering classes in digital photography. Member artist/
photographer John Buck will conduct a class for all skill levels that will demonstrate how a professional
photographer captures images as art. This course will teach you how to assess light, create interesting
compositions and become more confident and creative in your photography by understanding your
exposure controls.
THE COURSE: “Seeing is Believing”
WHEN: Saturday, January 10
DURATION: 10am-12pm
WHERE: Meet at Fifth Avenue Art Gallery, 1470 Highland Avenue, Eau Gallie
EQUIPMENT: Camera, lenses, batteries, hat, water, no tripod
FEE: $75 per person
CLASS: Minimum of six students
DESCRIPTION: Students will meet at the Fifth Avenue Art Gallery for a brief introduction and review of
camera gear. Smartphones acceptable. The main instruction will include a 2 hour “photo walk” around
Eau Gallie and a personal review and critique of your images.
INSTRUCTOR: John Buck is an award winning professional graphic designer, art director and
photographer. He has taught design and photography at the university level and has conducted photo
classes for individuals and groups for 10 years. He is a member at the Fifth Avenue Art Gallery and is the
president of the Camera Club of Brevard. For ten years he traveled the world as Kodak’s main contract
travel photographer.
