Live Jazz Concert: Maddy Winer featuring the Larry Brown Trio
Jazz Vocalist Maddy Winer will be performing with Larry Brown on the keyboard, Manny Patino on bass and Claudio Barardi on drums.
In the 1980’s, Maddy performed “American Popular Song” jazz concerts with pianist and composer Loonis McGlohon, host of the NPR Peabody award-winning series. They toured throughout the eastern United States, including a sold-out performance at Lincoln Center in New York City to standing ovations. Two McGlohon recordings, “The Music Of Loonis McGlohon” and “Name Dropping” include selections sung by Maddy along with selections by Frank Sinatra, Cleo Laine, George Shearing, Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney, Joe Williams, Margaret Whiting and Judy Garland.
General Admission is paid at the door: $15 for Jazz Society and Veterans Memorial Center members, $20 for guests, students under 25 yrs of age are FREE. Bring your own food & drink – tables, seating, great music and a beautiful view of the river are provided.
