Audition Preparation
Vocal Audition: Please prepare a Broadway-style song, limited to 1 minute or 16 bars. Sheet music is preferred; a pianist will be provided. Accompaniment Tracks on CD or flash drive are acceptable, provided they do not contain pre-recorded vocals and are limited to 1 minute. No smartphones or tablets, please. If you do not have a prepared song, you may be asked to sing “Happy Birthday” with piano accompaniment.
Movement/Dance: Auditioners will be given stage movement and/or dance to follow. Please dress comfortably with appropriate footwear.
Age Requirements: Seeking performers ages 7 and up. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
Virtual Auditions: Virtual auditions will be accepted. Details and submission instructions will be posted soon.
Character Breakdown
Annie (Female, 10–13): A spirited and optimistic orphan with a strong voice and presence.
Oliver Warbucks (Male, 40s–60s): A powerful billionaire who opens his heart to Annie.
Grace Farrell (Female, 20s–40s): Warbucks’ intelligent and kind secretary.
Miss Hannigan (Female, 30s–60s): The disheveled and often inebriated head of the orphanage.
Rooster Hannigan (Male, 20s–40s): Miss Hannigan’s scheming brother.
Lily St. Regis (Female, 20s–30s): Rooster’s flashy and dimwitted girlfriend.
Orphans (Girls, 7–13): A diverse group of spirited and scrappy young girls.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt (Male, 40s–70s): The dignified and warm President.
Ensemble (Teens & Adults, all genders): Multiple featured roles including servants, New Yorkers, cabinet members, and more.
