This class focuses on building strong foundational art skills for older students. Students will learn important concepts such as the elements of art, principles of design, composition, perspective, proportion, and color theory.
Through guided exercises and projects, students will practice drawing, shading, light and shadow, texture, and creating the illusion of space in their artwork. Students will work with a variety of art mediums including oil pastel, chalk pastel, acrylic, and watercolor as they explore different techniques and develop their artistic skills.
