Join Aaron & Friends for a very special part-two program featuring piano music penned by our conductor, Aaron Collins. Featuring five world-class pianists, the program will display a different side of our Artistic Director. Pianists Dr. Alessandro Fonseca, Dylan Rhodes, Dr. Jacob Craig, Jean Black and Philip King will perform music Collins has written over the past twenty-five years, including several thrilling works for piano four hands. When the piano became the instrument of choice for the newly powerful European middle class in the early 19th century, it wasn’t just for its versatility as a solo instrument. Even with the smaller square pianos of the era, there was enough room for two people to sit down in front of it and play the instrument at the same time.
