Biography
Born in Miami Florida, Dennis Shattuck combines his talent for painting and passion for life in the tropics to capture his inspiration of nature on canvas. Through years of education, Dennis has won art awards and has had his work published. He started as a muralist at the age of fourteen. A couple of years later he introduced his now signature 3-D palette knife look. This technique makes a viewer want to reach into the painting and touch it. This 3-D canvas art is flexible enough to ship in a mailing tube. He has shipped his work throughout the U.S. and internationally. "I like to walk down the beach just before another day comes to an end. Looking over the horizon to witness a prism of burning colors melting away in the sky as if it were a doorway to heaven gleaming with crimson like cloud formations of transforming shapes slowly fading into darkness. I am honored to be able to recreate that moment in time forever on my canvas."
