Biography
Paul LaMontagne is a self- taught artist that has created art for a living since 1976. He creates abstract sculpture out of Maple Burl Wood which he acquires from Oregon.
Some of his sculptures are kept natural and others he adds a bit of color with aniline wood dyes. LaMontagne also likes to incorporate highlights with inlayed gemstones in some of the pieces.
He has participated in many of the area Fine Art Shows. If you happen to see him at one of the shows you will notice there is a sign, PLEASE TOUCH. Unlike other artwork he encourages you to feel and become one with the piece.
