Biography
Although Kerri McMullen regularly applied creativity in her photography and marketing career, she didn’t establish a creative “hobby” until moving to Florida in 2019. Inspired by photographing the state’s abundant wildlife, Kerri creates mixed-media pieces on wood that incorporate wood burning, carving, and painting techniques to capture the spirit of Florida wildlife. As a graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s of Science in Photography, she often uses her photography as inspiration for her artwork.
The creation of each one-of-a-kind piece is closely supervised by her dog Mia, and when Kerri is not creating in her studio, she enjoys photographing local wildlife and long walks on the beach with her camera in hand.
