Biography
B.S. Degree in Education, minor Fine Art, Associates Degree In Graphic Design. My employment for 21 yrs. has been in Teaching and Interior Design, with 16 yrs as a part time Fitness Instructor. As a designer I Learned a great deal about complimentary colors, patterns and textures, as well as proportion and harmony in the home with the furniture layout and design. My favorite part was selecting and hanging wall decor for the homeowner. Feel that this foundation helped me in my artwork.
Faced with having to give up my fitness job, then a major car accident, and Covid forced me to slow down and find something more sedentary to do. I turned to painting, first with two 6-week classes, and then from the internet I learned Mandala painting. This meditative and calming process definitely helped with my healing.
I have painted over 100 paintings of much variety; from family pets, to wildlife, social issues, mandalas, portraits all since 2019. Was accepted into Viera Gallery Art Show “Wings” in 2017 with my “Canadian Geese flying”. Spoke about and presented 10 of my Critically Endangered Animals and 33 mandalas last May at The Cocoa Library. Now a current member of the Brevard Cultural Alliance.
