SUMMARY:Art fundamentals
DESCRIPTION:This class focuses on building strong foundational art skills for older students. Students will learn important concepts such as the elements of art, principles of design, composition, perspective, proportion, and color theory.\nThrough guided exercises and projects, students will practice drawing, shading, light and shadow, texture, and creating the illusion of space in their artwork. We cover it all — painting, drawing, watercolor, and oil pastel — giving students hands-on time with a variety of art mediums including oil pastel, oil painting, chalk pastel, acrylic, and watercolor as they explore different techniques and develop their artistic skills. Each month we focus on two mediums at a time, so students get real depth instead of just a taste.\nPlease note: this is not a drop-in class. Projects carry over week to week, so students need to attend consistently to see them through.\nRecommended for Ages 11 \n
