Set during the Great Depression, this heartwarming tale features iconic songs and a cast of unforgettable characters.\n\n\n\nWhether you’re a seasoned performer or new to the stage, we welcome you to audition and share in the joy of this timeless production.\n\n\n\nAudition Dates\n\n\n\n\nSunday, September 28 at 6:30 PM\n\n\n\nMonday, September 29 at 7:00 PM\n\n\n\n\nLocation: The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse, 300 Brevard Ave, Cocoa, FL 32922Production Dates: November 21 – December 14, 2025\n\n\n\nAudition Preparation\n\n\n\nVocal Audition: Please prepare a Broadway-style song, limited to 1 minute or 16 bars. Sheet music is preferred; a pianist will be provided. Accompaniment Tracks on CD or flash drive are acceptable, provided they do not contain pre-recorded vocals and are limited to 1 minute. No smartphones or tablets, please. If you do not have a prepared song, you may be asked to sing “Happy Birthday” with piano accompaniment.\n\n\n\nMovement/Dance: Auditioners will be given stage movement and/or dance to follow. Please dress comfortably with appropriate footwear.\n\n\n\nAge Requirements: Seeking performers ages 7 and up. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.\n\n\n\nVirtual Auditions: Virtual auditions will be accepted. Details and submission instructions will be posted soon.\n\n\n\nCharacter Breakdown\n\n\n\nAnnie (Female, 10–13): A spirited and optimistic orphan with a strong voice and presence.\n\n\n\nOliver Warbucks (Male, 40s–60s): A powerful billionaire who opens his heart to Annie.\n\n\n\nGrace Farrell (Female, 20s–40s): Warbucks’ intelligent and kind secretary.\n\n\n\nMiss Hannigan (Female, 30s–60s): The disheveled and often inebriated head of the orphanage.\n\n\n\nRooster Hannigan (Male, 20s–40s): Miss Hannigan’s scheming brother.\n\n\n\nLily St. Regis (Female, 20s–30s): Rooster’s flashy and dimwitted girlfriend.\n\n\n\nOrphans (Girls, 7–13): A diverse group of spirited and scrappy young girls.\n\n\n\nPresident Franklin D. Roosevelt (Male, 40s–70s): The dignified and warm President.\n\n\n\nEnsemble (Teens & Adults, all genders): Multiple featured roles including servants, New Yorkers, cabinet members, and more.\n
