DESCRIPTION:\nSaturday, 15 March 2025 – 2:00pm to 3:00pm\n\n\n\nJoin us here at the Florida Historical Society, 435 Brevard Avenue, Cocoa, FL  32922 on Saturday, January 19, 2025 at 2:00.  Light refreshments will be available. \n\n\n\nWalt Belcher Bio:  After nearly 35 years as a reporter for The Tampa Tribune, Walt Belcher is still sharing stories. He has become a champion teller of tall tales, a winner of story slams, and the host of storytelling events in Florida and throughout the South. He is on the board of directors of the Florida Storytelling Association and the Suncoast Storytellers Inc., of St. Petersburg.\n\n\n\nWalt lives in Safety Harbor where he hosts a monthly storytelling night at the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center. He has been a “showcase teller” at three Florida Storytelling Festivals. He regularly shares stories at the Barberville Pioneer Settlement as well as the Suncoast Storytellers monthly story swap. Among his stories are tales about Florida’s most infamous cowman of the late 1800s, Bonaparte Mizell.\n
