SUMMARY:Michael Lington, Chris Standring and Oli Silk
DESCRIPTION:\nThree of Contemporary Jazz biggest names come together at the King Center Studio Theatre for what is sure to be a memorable concert! Lead by sax man Michael Lington, with over a quarter century into one of contemporary jazz’s most exciting and storied careers.\n\n\n\nBritish born jazz guitarist Chris Standring is one of the most prolific and successful artists on the contemporary urban jazz scene. On his newest release, SIMPLE THINGS, Standring reflects on his recent experience and his new and intimate awareness of the fragility of life.\n\n\n\nAlso born in Britain, keyboardist, composer and producer Oli Silk made his debut at the Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival, and later that year he was named Debut Artist of the Year by Smooth Jazz News magazine and Art Good’s Jazztrax.com. Also in that year, his song “Easy Does It” hit No. 19 on the US Billboard Smooth Jazz chart.\n
