DESCRIPTION:Melbourne Community Orchestra presents…\nSeptember 6, 2023  |  Melbourne Auditorium  |  7:00pm\nSeptember 7, 2023  |  Melbourne Auditorium  |  7:00pm\nThe Melbourne Community Orchestra will present a pair of out-of-this-world concerts to start their 2023-24 performing season on Wednesday & Thursday, September 6 and 7. The music begins at 7:00 PM each evening with One Small Step at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 Hibiscus Boulevard in Melbourne. The nonprofit orchestra will play galactic favorites, including music from Star Trek, Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Gustav Holst’s famed orchestral suite, The Planets. A pre-show of onstage musical performers will entertain the gathering crowd, beginning at 6:15 PM. Admission to One Small Step and all Melbourne Community Orchestra concerts is free. The 65-member group conducted by Mark Nelson is the Orchestra in Residence for the City of Melbourne.
