Art Specialty: Visual Art, Writer, Photography

I am a writer and a photographer. I began photography years ago, but it wasn't until about eight years ago that I began to study it seriously. I took classes (both on campus and online) at BCC and have taken classes from various commercial sites online. In my writing, I try to capture a picture for the reader. The same is true of photography, and that is why it fascinates me so much. I love to photograph nature in all its beauty. Close-ups are of particular interest to me. Other favorite topics are buildings and pieces of buildings and reflections. As I grow as a photographer, there is nothing as satisfying as capturing a subject in the perfect light so that it speaks to the viewer. In addition to photography, I am a freelance writer. I write a monthly column for Brevard Live, and I do freelance editing for publishers as well as individuals.
