Tom Busby

Tom works primarily in acrylics utilizing a variety of techniques that capture an impression of his very diverse subject matter.  His painting style is fresh enough to remind the viewer of outsider art yet mature enough in composition to reveal years of training.  Abstract shapes in brillant colors take on a energy as complex as the subject is simple.

Busby studied in Stuttgart and Frankfurt Germany as well as America under several renouned artists.  His work has been selected to appear in and received awards in several prestigious shows including 2009 Beau Arts Festival where his work was featured on the cover for the festival program.  Nude Nite Orlando, Robot Love exhibitions.  Busby exhibited his 8 foot Space Shuttle at the Cape Canaceral Space Centers Vistor Center in 2008.  "Visions" and "Paper Works" Juried Exhibition in 2008, the Brevard Museum of Art's "2007 Juried Exhibition", The Fifth Avenue Art Gallery's "100%" Pure Florida Juried Exhibition, the Mainstreet Masters of Art 2007, Artworks 2006, the Strawbridge Art League's "Visions" and Landmarks Juried Exhibitions.

Busby's art can currently be seen at Alla Prima, Yappa and The Henegar Center, all located in Melbourne, FL.
