ABOUT ME  

I have been painting and doing various art projects for as long as I can remember.  I received my first oil paint set as a birthday gift from my aunt at the age of 11 and have been painting ever since.  The only real formal training I received were the various art/craft classes in high school and a few in college, but I never wanted to go for the big art career as I was afraid my passion would turn into work doldrums (as it often does).  After raising a family and trying my luck at several different careers, I have once again turned to the passion of my heart…Paint.

Most of my experience has been in oil paintings but lately, I have been focusing on oil based enamel paintings, wall hangings and furniture.  I love the vibrant color and hard-as-rock finish the paint produces.  I also like the fact that you can paint on all types of surface including glass, wood and ceramic with the same rich, consistent finish.  Most of my stuff is quite weather proof and can even be hung outside.

Art is a very personal thing.  Each one of us has a unique personality and taste.  There is no right or wrong, just what appeals to you the most. I happen to believe art should always make you smile so I try to incorporate some light humor and very bright, bold colors.  We live in a stressful, hectic world so I keep my work as uncomplicated and fun as possible.  You are invited to have a walk through my gallery.
