Trish Campbell
I remember spending hours and hours when I was a girl, watching ants running around on the ground, watching a spider spin a web or butterflies flitting from flower to flower. I loved to gaze up at the clouds and imagine shapes, or strain up into the night sky in awe at the glittering diamonds against the curtain of darkness. "What's out there?"
And now I'm thrilled to paint things that I love. I love to paint things that take me up off of the earth, up a tree or down a road. I love perspective that brings me "from here to there." It's my hope that my art will sweep viewers up into "Patty's world," as my husband says.
I'm often in awe of the paint as it mixes and takes on a life of its own. What a thrill it is to express my passion for God's wondrous creation on a canvas!
Recently I've "gone green" with a few paintings that I've done on Publix grocery bags. I find the crinkly texture fun and less scary than regular canvas! I hope you enjoy my work!
