Lucinda (Cindy) Maronde, originally from Minnesota, has been a resident of Florida most of her life.  She remembers painting and drawing as a child, attending her first art classes at nine years old.  After moving to the east coast of Florida, she wanted to study painting seriously and found the Eliot McMurrough School of Art in Indialantic, FL.  Cindy studied three years with the late McMurrough and then continued her study with McMurrough's teacher and mentor, Henry Hensche in Provincetown, MA. (The Cape School  of Art).  Additional Workshops have been taken with other master painters over the years.  Cindy has exhibited in numerous national and regional juried shows and has been recognized with awards in several media.  Most recently she participated in the 9^th Annual National Juried exhibition of the American Impressionist Society held in Palm Desert, CA.

In 1987 to satisfy a commercial need, Cindy established a hand painted dress shirt business under the registered name of  "Rag Factory".  The popular one of a kind designs are available by special order.

Cindy is a member of the Brevard Art Museum, the Strawbridge Art League, and a signature member of the American Impressionist Society and the Brevard Cultural Alliance.  While her studio is primarily outdoors, she has a small studio in a working artist's gallery in Cocoa, FL.
