The Historic Schoolhouse, a landmark in the town of Malabar, stands ready to host meetings, workshops, and special events. Built as the area's first county school in 1927, the fully restored 2-story schoolhouse offers heartpine floors, 11 foot ceilings, 2 woodstoves, and a bank of 9ft. by 8ft. windows inviting great light and views. Bordered by the 395-acre Malabar Sandhill Scrub Preserve and adjacent to the Trailhead (horse and hiking), the Schoolhouse is conveniently located off Malabar Road, just blocks from the Indian River and U.S.1 and only 2 miles east of Babcock St. and I-95.
