Since 1985, the Community Band of Brevard has served all of Brevard County, Florida, providing FREE, high-quality public concerts throughout the year. Located on the Space Coast, home to the Kennedy Space Center and Space Shuttle Launch and Landing facility, the Band performs between four and six concerts per year, most with multiple performances. Musical selections include classical, jazz, show tunes, contemporary, big band, and original composition music. The Band's membership includes students, engineers, teachers, retirees, health and service workers, business owners, and professional musicians, all with the interest of performing music before an enthusiastic audience. The Community Band of Brevard is a recipient of the John Philip Sousa Foundation's 1999 Sudler Silver Scroll Award.
