Brevard Zoo

Interact, Explore, Kayak. . . visit the Brevard Zoo and experience the Wild Side!

Built by the community, this small zoo has grown into a conservation leader and important destination for tourists. Our ground-breaking education programs are models for zoos around the United States.

The zoo is divided into several unique habitats:

Expedition Africa: Hand-feed giraffes from the observation platform overlooking our newest exhibit. Guided kayak trips through rhino and giraffe habitats are available on a first-come basis.

Wetlands Outpost Kayaking: Our Wild Florida habitat features this rustic Observation Outpost & Dock overlooking the zoo's 22 acre restored wetlands exhibit along with educational, guided kayak trips.

Train Ride: Take a ten minute ride past the Australian aviary and around Lemur Island. A portion of each ride benefits the zoo's conservation programs.

Paws On Animal Study Zone: Paws On is a unique multi-leveled interactive playground for children and adults.

Animal Encounters Contact Yard: Get up-close and hands-on with a variety of domestic animals in the contact yard located in Paws On.

Wildside Encounters, Destination Africa: Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the zoo with an animal keeper.

Outdoor Adventure Tours: We offer a variety of tours for nature enthusiasts.
