miR theater is the brainchild of husband and wife team Joseph and Elizabeth Lark-Riley. The two have been making theater in New Orleans, Chicago, and New York for the last fifteen years and realized they were ready to make a theater career in a beautiful place with a slower pace. Joseph is a Rockledge native and has always felt a connection to his childhood home, believing it has a particular beauty and magic and is full of stories that should be told. miR theater is made in Rockledge. It creates and presents original performance works in Rockledge, Florida. Through workshops, camps, classes, collaborations, artist residencies and touring productions, miR aims to build a local and global community committed to exploring the universal while celebrating the uniqueness of particular places and people.
