Description
Educated at Florida International University with a Bachelor's of Fine Art, I work in a number of mediums including oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor and pencil; my paintings include people, rainforest and island environments and fantasy. In my work, the main intention is to express beauty in a spiritual sense. With all the problems in the world and in our daily living we have a tendency to forget how to enjoy each other, nature and the wonder of life in general. For example, I try to communicate the feeling you get when walking through a forest or swimming in an ocean or the feeling of being alone on a beach with just your thoughts. In this way, people do connect to my work.
Since I live in a colorful island environment, color also plays an important role in my pictures. It is natural that my palette has evolved into a vibrant dialogue of color, as vibrant as the places I daily experience.
