Biography
McLean was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York and has been a resident of Florida since 1971. McLean has been painting with oils for 40+ years and has always been fascinated with the flexibility of the medium and the creative techniques such as palette knife, glazing, and impasto.There is something about the way oil paints mix and how they glide across the canvas that is enormously appealing to me,says McLean. The majority of her artwork is oil, but her passion for exploration and refining her technique has been a lifelong adventure taking her to watercolor, colored pencil, etchings, print making and just about any other.
