Biography

Titusville artist Michael Xavier is a self-taught professional who showcases expertise in a variety of media, including, but not limited to, watercolors, prisma colored pencils and pen and ink. Xavier’s only formal training was in Advanced Art and Design, while attending Merritt Island High School. He has been a freelance artist for over 50 years. In keeping with his artistic vein, he is an avid photographer who finds inspiration through that media and translates it into his artwork.

Xavier works with a variety of mixed media in several disciplines to produce a uniquely one-of-a-kind work of art. “I have had a passion for drawing and art since I was a young boy,” says Xavier, “Encouraged by my family, I followed my interests, experimented with different art forms and media until I was able to establish a unique style and realize my dream to become a full time artist.”

A member of the Titusville Art League and the Brevard Watercolor Society, Xavier’s artistic creations include floral studies, wildlife renderings, people and pet portraits, landscapes, seascapes and marine life. He produces commissioned art from clients’ ideas, vacation photos, or snapshots capturing a favorite theme. In addition he has produced commercial art for souvenir T-Shirts and coffee mugs and has exhibited his work in galleries from Cocoa Village to Orlando. He also can be seen exhibiting at special events and art exhibits at art festivals across Florida’s Space Coast.
