Biography

Award-winning artist Siri Lynn German has been creating her mixed media artwork since the millennium of 2000. German uses plastic and ceramic tiles, wood slabs, Frisbees, mouse pads, place mats, pizza rounds, even her old bread box surfaces as backdrops for her 3-D work. She does abstract pen and ink works on canvas that focus on boating life as well as computer altered photography pieces. She is a free-lance writer, poet, and avid boater who moved to Florida in 1990 from Connecticut. Collecting the flotsam and jetsam for the 3-D work is fun. Many pieces are found on local Brevard beaches, particularly after a storm. “I also moor my boat at various spoil islands on the Indian River, swim ashore, and collect one-of-a-kind fossilized wonders. I return to the boat with my bathing suit full of lumps, excited as an archaeologist!”
