Biography

Gery Gamero began to explore art as a photographer in 2002. It is through photography that Gery learned composition and framing his subjects. As a photographer Gery was interested in color, exploring contrast and color combinations in his compositions. By late 2009, Gery decided to experiment with painting. He attended classes at the Brevard Museum of Art and found painting a better medium for exploring color. Since then, Gery has taken classes with Frits Van Eeden, Kimberlina Marie Murray, Wendy Rivkin, Renee Decator, Heather Everett, and Jeff Filipski. Gery continues to explore this new medium, experimenting with different styles. He has participated in a few group exhibitions and is looking forward to presenting his new and future work. Gery’s artistic style can be classified as modern, expressionist. His paintings continue to be about form and color. They are paintings to be appreciated best when stepping back and absorbing the entire composition.
