Biography
Tom Busby studied in Stuttgart and Frankfurt Germany as well as America under several renowned artists. His work has been selected to appear in and received awards in several prestigious shows including 2009 Beaux Arts Festival where his work was featured as the cover for the festival program. Nude Nite Orlando, Robot Love exhibitions. Busby exhibited his 8 foot Space Shuttle and the Cape Canaveral Space Centers Visitor Center in 2008. “Visions” and “Paper Works” Juried Exhibition in 2008, the Brevard Museum of Art’s “2007 Juried Exhibition”, The Fifth Avenue Art Gallery’s “100% Pure Florida Juried Exhibition, the Mainstreet Masters of Art 2007, Artworks 2006, the Strawbridge Art League’s “Visions” and Landmarks Juried Exhibitions.
Busby works primarily in acrylics utilizing a variety of techniques that capture an impression of his very diverse subject matter. His painting style is fresh enough to remind the viewer of outsider art yet mature enough in composition to reveal years of training.
