Biography

Bishop is a versatile artist working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, pen and ink and pencil. She uses realistic or impressionistic techniques in her work in florals, sea, and landscapes. She is a member of the Brevard Watercolor Society and has participated in several exhibits including Brevard County’s Art in Public Places program through the Brevard Cultural Alliance and the Florida Wildlife Refuge. Currently she has a large portrait of Harry and Harriette Moore displayed in the Moore Cultural Center, Mims, FL. Numerous works are hanging at the new Florida Eye Associates building on Murrell Rd. and at their other Eye Center building on New Haven plus Cancer Care Centers in the area.

Bishop has donated her paintings to many non-profit and community-related services and organizations including the Alzheimer's Foundation Auction, Neighbors of Suntree in Melbourne, Platinum Coast Orchid Society’s fundraiser for Candlelighters of Brevard, and for many years contributed paintings to the PBS TV auction in Rochester, New York. Over the years she has completed well over one hundred commissioned portraits both in New York and Florida.
