Virtuoso pianist Bryan Wallick shines in the ultra-Romantic Piano Concerto No. 3 by Sergei Rachmaninoff. The BSO honors the 100th Anniversary of the birth of American master Samuel Barber with two works premiered by Arturo Toscanini. Also featured is the rhythmic and colorful The Chairman Dances by John Adams – based on President Nixon’s historic visit to China. Arrive at 7:15 pm for the Pre-concert Talk with Christopher Confessore.
