Description:
The Melbourne Art Festival takes place in Historic Downtown Melbourne during the fourth full weekend each April. It is ranked 32nd in the nation by the Sunshine Artists organization and is one of the biggest festivals in the county. More than 250 jury-selected artists exhibit their works and compete for over $35,000 in patron purchase awards and $27,500 in cash prize awards. This free festival features renowned entertainment, a 5K run, and promotes art education through on-going student art workshops, the KidsWorld art center, and a Student Art Competition & Show.
