Visit the Zoo for free during Summer Saturday Nights, where the Zoo stays open late every Saturday in July and August to beat the summertime heat. Guests can visit the animals until dusk, go kayaking, ride the train, and enjoy live music. Admission is absolutely free into the Zoo. Last admission each Saturday night is 8:15 p.m.

Summer Saturday Nights
Come beat the summertime heat during our annual Summer Saturday Nights, which starts July 3 and runs every Saturday night through August 28. We extend our hours of operation to 9 p.m. all nine Saturdays in July and August. Thanks to local businesses who sponsor the nights, admission is free to everyone starting at 5 p.m. Last admission is 8 p.m. Sponsors this year include Bright House Networks, Health First Health Plans, Viera State Farm Agent Dan Adovasio, and Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort.

As part of Summer Saturday Nights, most of the Zoo animals are out on exhibit until dusk. However, some animals will be off exhibit. The free flight aviary and the butterfly exhibit will be closed as well as Paws On play area. Each night the Zoo provides musical entertainment from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Other available activities for patrons include a chance to go kayaking, ride the train, feed giraffe, and enjoy a special animal encounter at 7 p.m. Patrons will not be able to bring food and drink into the Zoo starting at 5 p.m.

As part of Summer Saturday Nights, Brevard Zoo’s education department will offer a Summertime Spectacular Night Hike Series for children ages 4 to 12. Each program includes exclusive use of the new Paws On play area and includes crafts, games, animal encounters, and dinner. The nights are themed and summer dates are:

July 3 and 24, August 14—Home Sweet Habitats: Explore the different habitats we have in our backyards!
July 10 and 31, August 21—Investigators: Trek through the Zoo and solve the evening’s mystery.
July 17, August 7 and 28—It’s all Relative: Did you know armadillos are related to sloths!? Look through the family tree and discover who’s related to whom.

Summertime Spectacular Night Hike Series runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Cost is $20 for zoo members, pick 3 for $48. For non-members, each night is $24 or pick 3 nights for $63. To register, please call 321.254.9453 x 219 or email edregistrar@brevardzoo.org.
