The Fund for Arts in Brevard was established in June 2008 with a bequest made to the Brevard Cultural Alliance. The purpose of the Fund is to grow a source of support for artists, arts, cultural and historic organizations to decrease dependency on government funds or corporate sponsorships. FAB gives every individual an opportunity to express their interest in the arts and culture of our area.
Designations to special projects must be in keeping with the mission of BCA and are accepted by the board of directors. Specific areas may be, but are not limited to:
- Arts in Education (providing artists in residence in partnership with Brevard Public Schools)
- Grants to historical organizations
- Grants to performing arts organizations
- Grants to individual artists to further their careers and/or training
- Grants to serve the community in health and wellness programs
Anyone can have a lasting impact on the arts and culture in Brevard through a planned gift to the Brevard Cultural Alliance’s Fund for Arts in Brevard.
The gifts we make are a personal reflection of who we are and what we care about. Our annual gifts, tickets to gala events, auctions and raffle tickets are most often a result of our being asked by a personal friend or being involved with a committee or on a board of directors. These gifts enable an organization to continue to serve the community and provide operational funding.
Planned gifts are a way to show our deepest commitment to the causes we care most about. Providing a lasting legacy through your accumulation of assets is one of the most important ways you can support an organization and make a lasting impact in your community.
The Brevard Cultural Alliance Legacy Society recognizes those generous donors who make a documented planned gift of $25,000 or more to the BCA. The Fund for Arts in Brevard (FAB) has an initial goal of $360,000 that may then qualify the BCA to receive a $240,000 share of the arts endowment grant from the Division of Cultural Affairs, State of Florida.
