My enthusiasm for photography began with my first rangefinder camera; I still have that Yashica Electro 35.
I have two goals in mind when capturing a moment in time.
1) Produce an image that illustrates the essence of the subject.
2) Evoke emotion from the person viewing the image.
I specialize in two major areas: Nature and Event Photography
With nature photography I focus on three primary objectives:
1) To reflect the beauty of our natual landscape.
2) To inspire awe, respect and compassion for the flora and fauna who share this planet with us.
3) To encourage us to promote the conservation, preservation and safe-keeping of our natural and scenic resources.
My Events photography focuses on General and Social Events.
From surfing to airshows, bike week, wildfires and bad weather there is always something of interest to photograph in Florida.
With respect to social events anyone who has been present at a wedding, reunion, birthday party, etc, knows that these affairs can be a combination of nervous excitement, laughter, tears, and lots of fun. My goal is to capture this emotion with a blend of contemporary and photo-journalistic imagery.
